Raced Fearless in the spring long-distance race

Report: outside forum guidelines

They gave us the shortest course, which was about 15-16 miles. It was blowing pretty good, so it didn't take that long--about three and a half hours. Had her up on plane three or four times, but not for very long. Most of the race was close reaching, so Fearless was a happy boat. Did not take the spinnaker out of its basket. There were eleven boats in the centerboard fleet, of which seven finished. Out of those, we were tied for slowest boat (there was a Mutineer as well). Two boats crossed the finish line ahead of us (pretty well ahead--out of sight), but we wound up correcting over both of them. And now it is time for bed.
