In Response To: Centerboard stuck (robert #404)

I was able to get a 1" flat nylon strap around the back/end/bottom-edge of the centerboard. You get MUCH more leverage from there then using the uphaul/downhaul lines (about 6x more). Of course this is easiest with the boat on its side. The other suggestion of clearing debris should be tackled first. If it is binding that hard it would be good to know what it might be first before using any more excess strength.
