Thanks for the suggestions. I contacted the marina and they prep and repaint the bottom for 10$/ft (with me providing paint)and while its up on stands getting painted I'll be able to get under the boat safely. I tried getting under the boat while on crane but that's too risky. I did see a fair amount of stuff hanging out of the trunk box. The river has lots of little flotsam on it after the spring rains.
