Jay, Enjoy yourself Lake Ontario is where I sail Amazon. Big waves and in the summer the wind can be flukely but when it dose blow it is fast and fun. I have sailed on a Bucaneer. Flying the chute cannot be easy with the tube launcher and they are more tender and are fast. They do not have great feel that the Harpoon 5.2 helm has but they are fun. Water temp will be around 68 to 70 UNLESS the Lkae has TURNED in which case the water temp drops into the low 50's. So bring wet suit if you have them and fiond out what it is when you get there, Lake Ontario saying is if you do not like the conditions wait a minute and they will change. You will find it some of the most rewarding sailing you can do. Enjoy!!!! Rick
