Ethan from North Sails apparently attended one of the past Harpoon Regattas in Ocala and did his measurements there.
His explanation of his notes was that he'd like to see a 4:1 or 3:1 purchase on the jib halyard to make it easier to tweak under sail - since mast rake is only easily adjustable under sail with the jib halyard on the Harpoon. Think of it acting remotely like an adjustable backstay. Most folks on the forum who commented on that advice thought tweaking the mast tension on a Harpoon while underweigh was beyond overkill.
