I mentioned that decision to my brother who as a large sailboat with a dingy/tender. He has a larger motor on it and thinks it underpowered. He told me that he thought that going against the wind or current the 3.5HP motor would be too small and that even a strong wind on bare mast would be enough to push the boat backwards against the full power of the 3.5. Comments?
