Posted By: Gene Bragalone - #485/5.2 Date: 10/9/07 6:17a.m. Report: outside forum guidelines In Response To: Outboard (Pehr Jansson (Harpoon 5.2, Lake Travis, Austin, TX)) The recommendation by Boston Whaler was 4HP MAX, and that is for new boats, not 40 year old ones. Unless the transom area is pretty much pristine (if you can tell, and that may be hard)I would be concerned about using anything bigger.
