Posted By: Bob V Date: 6/1/08 8:49p.m. Report: outside forum guidelines In Response To: Mast step repairs (Byron Work) I'm gearing up to do some epoxy work on my 5.2 (new bailers, get out the rotted wood beneath, etc) and all this discussion has me wondering whether I shouldn't drill a hole and pump some liquid epoxy into the whole mast step area? On the one hand there's the, "if it ain't broke..." school, but on the other hand epoxy is relatively cheap and turning that wood block into plastic now might forestall problems later. Opinions?
