(Ken McIlwraith) Ken, The cuddy was an option. Most owners who have them talk about taking them off. I don't have one and think the openness of the boat is part of its greatness. Boats without a cuddy are also lighter and faster. If you find a good boat with a cuddy nogociate a price based on having to remove an unwanted option--whether you want a cuddy or not. Either way the 5.2 is truly a superb daysailer.-Charley-487
