Report: outside forum guidelines

Guys, saw a Catalina 250WB the other day. Nice cockpit but overall I was disappointed compared to the 26C. Rear bunk access was difficult and the overall feeling was less space. Also, the thing sat about a foot higher on the trailer for more difficult launching and certainly would not fit in a 7' garage. The aft bath is just too big for the space and access it steals IMHO. Headroom almost seemed less than the Mac. Add to that that they are way more expensive and it just doesn't add up.

Right now there is almost nothing I would change, knowing more about all the design considerations.

One possible exception that could even be a retrofit for us would be a sliding galley on the left settee a la 26m. It would let you work where there is pop top headroom and you could keep at least half a table up all the time by the old sink. Has anyone heard of anyone making a sliding galley (or try to put in from the 26m?)? Think it is a good idea (assuming there were not other higher-priority projects)?
