I have a pretty good system by that I mean I tie every thing up with easy to untie knots, have my main flaked on the boom stored in the cabin ready to be brought out. What saves me the most time is making sure not to back track during the set up and take down. One trip into the cabin to grab the gin pole, main sheet then another to bring the boom with the main sail flaked out of the hatch where I connect the topping lift to aid in attaching the boom to the mast. I use to sail with someone who had a Mac that also maid the setup and take down process look like a NASCAR pit stop. I came to enjoy the rigging process and never really looked at in a negative light.
