bunk boards

In Response To: trailer bunks (john belanger)

I use treated 2 X6 for the bunk boards on my trailer for my 1970 Venture 21. I have found that I can obtain carpet for the bunk from constructions sites on from carpet stores, the amount I need is considered waste for most carpet installations.

As for the downspout, my concern would be potential scratches and significant wear. With a small boat like the V-21 you end up pulling the boat along he bunks as you wench it on to the trailer.
