Mac 26 - Sailing Performance?

I took a close look at the Mac 26X at the San Diego Boat Show this weekend. Undoubtedly, the Mac 26 does a LOT that other boats its size/price cannot do. However, after reading a number of posts online pecifically about sailing performance, am I right in concluding that this is probably its weakest point?
