The boat is still propped up in the yard while I do some minor paint and stuff. It should be on the trailer in a few weeks so I have not tested the POR15. But I did contact the company on their 800 number and tell them what I was doing. They told me "minimum" three coats and use the primer. I ran on to POR15 because my son uses it in the restoration process of old Porsches. He said it does wonders for rusted areas. Anything will eventually get chipped and water can get under the paint, but I figure it should be good for seven years or so.
