Well to all that have been reading my messages I did remove my keel while still on the trailor and am in the process of pretty much overhauling the keel from scratch. but what i need to know is if the keel winch is a special winch and where to get one the guys at west marine were no help and what i should use to connect the cable to the keel? before there only was a bolt with a big washer and a rope tied around it!! so i dont even know where to start? and what size bolts and what kind of washers to use on the pivot and locking bolts? Thanks!!!
