Posted By: Pete Date: 2/23/08 12:10p.m. Report: outside forum guidelines You guys are going to think this is a really dumb question, BUT I just bought over $100 in rope for new rigging and am not sure how I can cut it without the ends unraveling. It's the type of braided rope with a core in it. I tried cutting it and melting the edges, but it unraveled immediately. Am suggestions on how to do this? The marine store I bought this from has an electric "knife" that heats up at it cuts, but it's quite a long drive from here. Thanks!
