OK, I read all the posts and understand that for my low-coaming 26D I need
-no more than 5 foot length to avoid hitting the backstay or main sheet -73-78 inch width (or possibly 79-84 to better clear coaming rails if the overhang is not an issue -anyone?) -36 inch height if I mount on top of my coaming. Note I have a just lengthened bolt rope and was a bit shocked how low 32 inches above coamings felt in my garage.
Also, I see go2marine.com has by far the best prices - all stainless and sunbrella is $323, alumininum/ plastic frame is $212. Overtons is next best at about $80 more. Others are $150 or more higher than go2marine which is hard to justify.
The problem is, neither makes a 5 foot long 36 inch high bimini (only have 32 inch). I could consider 42 inch high and mount on sides of coamings but I only see 2-bows at are 5.5 or 6 feet long.
Can anyone give me a good source for a max-height bimini for a 26D that is a reasonable price? Should I just accept the 32 inch height?
