I talked to GMI a few weeks ago about the width i.e. what does 73 - 78 mean?
The actual width at the shoulder(where the legs begin to bend) is the smaller number - in this example 73 inches. It easily bends slightly to accommodate the 78 inch width at the base.
For Teliki, where I plan to mount at the rub rail, 78 inches is a better match as the legs would only bow inwards a touch. It's better to bow in if you mount outside the coamings so it doesn't rub o them. In my case this meant using the 78-84 inch width.
