I live in Springville and work in Buffalo. I'd be happy to give you a hand some time. Just send me an e-mail. You may want to consider sailing lessons at the Seven Seas Sailing Center next to RCR Yachts. I took lessons there before I bought my boat and they were well worth the relatively inexpensive price. The instructors will even arrange to give you lessons on your own boat. The place is run by Bill Zimmerman and they are in the phone book.
