Rigging a boat is a fluid thing. There are some absolutes like the sail must go to the top of the mast, and the outer end must be controlled. There may be many blocks at the top of the mast, use the one that is logical and works for you to get the sail to the top of the mast. Over the period you own the boat, you may use different combinations of fittings to control the basics.
My point is get the sail up and under control. As you enjoy the activity of sailing and become familiar with the boat all of those deck fittings will work themselves out.
Part of the enjoyment of sailing is that it is a continuing process of problem identification and resolution; How many tacks to get to the ramp where you left your car; Should I tack now, or if I go a little closer to the shore will I get better wind for my tack, etc.................
