In Response To: completely agree, I think I had the weed problem yesterday in very light air, (link) (Balazs (Mac26C GP, Alberta))

I had round up problems when I first sailed my Mac, it realy bummed me out. What worked for me was adjusting the pivet bolt so I could just move the blade up and down. I also changed the down haul line to high teck kevlar. This comes up to the stern rail and is held by some shock cord. The blade only will move if I hit something. It is very inportant the blade be as far foreward as posible. Aft by a 1/2" you will have control problems. Yes I have an Ida blade.
