Please correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that it is the angle of the mast to the water not to the deck or waterline on the boat so the boat should be floating and in normal trim. Maybe two people in cockpit if you wanted to be very picky ? I just played with mine to get it to sail the way I like with it normally loaded. Bob
