Perhaps an errant fastener?

In Response To: Its the ballast tank (Rod)

I too have never heard of a Mac with a ballast tank problem.

Maybe a hole was mistakenly drilled into the tank during a repair or mod. Or, perhaps something heavy like an anchor was dropped under the V-birth and cracked the tank.

As it is a "D" could a hard grounding with the dagger board damage the ballast tank?

If it's coming from the bow, maybe you could lower the tongue as much as possible and gradually fill the tank until you isolate the leak.
