(Mike Coon) We have a metal bar that connects to the top of the rudder (sort of), and then runs over to the front of the motor. The rod has a spring loaded connecter that hooks and locks onto a little 'knob' at each end. I can try to get a pic tonight and try to post it if you'd like. We love it - we just have to remember, to disconnect it when we lift the motor all the way up, otherwise it binds. This is the best pic I could find - you can kind of see the bar running from the tiller of toward the motor.
