I have been lucky, my VN23 is in good shape but I am trying to find out what the uses of the different hardware/brackets were used for, checking pictures on line of how each VN23 is rigged. I would like to hear more about your mast raising system. I tried to step the mast this past Sunday and twisted my knee. I have been researching what other mast raising systems have been designed. I have a 1979 VN23 that I bought in Tennessee last year and brought back to Virginia. Sailing in the Lower Cheasepeake Bay area.
