In Response To: sleeping outside in the cockpit area (walt26scolorado)

installed wood rails along the inside edges of the seats in the cockpit, just low enough to accomodate panels of manageable-sized plywood to fill in the space between the seats... sort of like large hatchboards. (Sorry no pics) Then they rolled out a foam pad and used sleeping bags on top. Each of the panels had finger holes drilled into them and they could easily be lifted up to store items underneath for the night.
