Sum, until this past weekend I had no pics of my bimini. Sometimes I'm not good about taking pics of my mods, and when I do, I don't word document it well at all. I really appreciate your ability to picture/word document all your work, needless to say, quite impressive, and much appreciated, please keep it coming!
Went sailing this past weekend in San Diego Bay, and enjoyed two seperate raft-ups. One with some old friends of mine Friday night, and the other with Venture Yacht Club Saturday night, and had a wonderful three day weekend. Saturday, winds were 20kts+, lots of fun!
Anyway, I took a few pics, you can see the bimini, you can't see the mounting points very well, but hopefully they will help. By the way, the color is Pacific Blue, you already know I got it from GMI.
With regard to my statement, "The attachment points have to be pulled in a little", what I mean is that the bow has to be squeezed a little toward the cockpit. In other words, if I were to hold the two attachment points in my hands, I'd pull them toward each other a little. Not to the point of permanently bending them of course. If I were to do it again, would go with the same dimensions. The installation clears the lifelines nicely.
I do have 2ft. tracks mounted on top of the coaming. I don't have the measurements as to where they are mounted fore and aft, but I can get that for you if you need it, in addition I could take more pics, just let me know.
The slide tracks are mounted on the coamings as far to the outside edge as possible. Having the tracks allows fine tuning along with the straps to get just the right clearance between the main sheet and the aft stay. One of these days, I intend to replace the tracks with cars and tracks for my Genoa sheets. Then I'll attach the bimini to that track. That way I'll have dual purpose tracks.
I move the main sheet over to the side so the companionway is clear. Also you can see the lifelines are attached, and the bimini clears them. Hard to make out in the pic, but there is actually a couple inches of space between the bows and the lifelines.
Here you can see the aft edge of the bimini clears the backstay.
A little hard to see here, the main sheet will clear the front edge of the bimini, I can slide the traveler back and forth. The boom will clear the top, I can sail with it up.

Friends way up there in their boat. My boat really looks like a little dinghy next to their Hunter 450 Passage.
