maybe it's m'old age speaking, maybe it's the fact I've camped out of backpacks and kayaks for years but I've never had a problem stretching out on a ensolite pad in the cockpit and snoozing away. Setting up as ya'lls pictures show looks awesome but I would suggest just curling up with a good bag or blankets, maybe a pillow, a headlamp for reading a bit and then trying it out.

On the other hand, one of those 'blow up' mattres ideas sounds niceeeeee..
