I'm impressed, not only with the quality of the work that you do, but also the detailed photos and explanations of your projects. I also enjoy seeing the process of how you engineer these solutions. I really like your side bunks project idea.
I've learned on this and other message boards that some people, many of whom are very intelligent, are also sometimes very opinionated so you shouldn't take any disagreements personally.
Please keep haning around and posting what you are up to. The problem with the site where you detail your modifications is that there is not a way to notify people who might be interested that the site has been updated. That is the beauty of this message board because it allows you to post a message telling anyone that is interested that your site has been updated. I just now happened to check the message board, saw this thread, and then saw the thread and your site about the side bunks. I really like that idea since I've had trouble centering the boat during windy conditions. I don't have a welder or the equipment to fabricate the solution that you made but it gave me an idea that I'll try; running a line from each goal post to the winch post. If I had the time and equipment, I would certainly prefer your solution.
The gelcoat is pretty scratched up on my boat and I don't know if there is anyway to fix it; especially the black gelcoat. But that is another topic...
Thanks for all the posts and documentation that you have provided the MacGreggor community! Please keep on posting!!!
