about 50' long to trim on the stern corners of your boat...thats the length of mine and I have a few feet left for handling since the chute only goes about 2/3 of the way back. Both sym. and asym. chutes are designed to be flown above the forestay on boats with our type rigging (having a senior-moment...can't remember the name for our non-mast high rig) and tacked around the forestay, even though some folks fly them from their jib halyard and tack them inside. I installed a pad-eye and block above the forstay for this use with a dedicated chute halyard.
