Hi Sum,

The trailer was in good shape and had a coat of powder blue paint on it. A friend of mine with a body shop couldn't stand the blue and quick D/A'd it, epoxy primered, and shot it with catalyzed enamel. Looks even better up close.

If you have much rust, maybe a media blast might be worth the trouble. I did have a little rust up front inside the tongue tube where water can't escape after launching. I found that when cutting the hole for the tongue extension.
