When the back fenders are just below water half the trailer is past the "shoreline". The only way to get her even close to the bow stop is to back the trailer in a few more feet - then it's way underwater.
I'll either extend the posts or just get rid of them.
We have never had an issue aligning the boat with the trailer. One of us is always on a pier or land with a stern line. No matter how strong a crosswind it's dead easy to control the stern.
An unless there is something Lenore has not told me, I don't plan on retrieving the boat myself.
I think my solution will be simply to get rid of them.
