have used many different anchors over the years and found that, generally, the no-name knock-offs suck. Although they may look the same, there is a big difference between a Danforth and a Danforth-style. A 5 lb Hi-Tensile Danforth WILL hold a 30+ foot boat in 20 knots; a 5 lb Danforth-style wouldn't hold a dinghy in similar conditions. Stick with genuine Danforth or Fortress and you will sleep better at night.
