Used it twice, it never held in soft muck bottom. The real Danforth on the other end held fine in the changing tide. They were both the same size. Tried 3 times to get a se the second time I used it with no luck. It is in the garage attick now.

I have a small real Danforth. a 12# knockoff that is well proportioned, and a small and medium Northill. I use danforth for soft and northill for hard bottoms, with fine success. I always set the anchor hard before I depend on it.

If the anchor will not set, I change anchors and try again.
