I got more movement by shimming the motor

by moving the motor as far back as the mounting screws allowed, I gained a few more inches. and actually shifted the motor to one side slightly to get more on turning on one side vs the other. -might want to try that... if you can spin the boat, it doesn't much matter to which side you do 360's. -in current I don't try to stop w/ reverse... I do a 360 and use forward to stop movement (like before a bridge). GL!
