or against a moderate wind; I went up to an 8hp awhile back after burning up my engine (my fault, not the engine's) for more power in the Gulf against fairly large seas and heavy winds, but the old 4hp got me in safely for several years. You will need a long shaft, though, on the 26...you didn't say what your shaft length is.
