solar panel location

This is from El Bucko web site, shows another location for solar panels on a trailerable sailboat. He had two panels each independently charging two battery's. He used which ever battery looked best with a volt meter. I like the high mount - no or little shadow from a nearby permanently mounted mast crutch http://members.tripod.com/~lbucko/index-2.html
