Cushion questions

OK folks,
Anyone know why stock 26c cushions were the nasty orange/tan in the salon and blue elsewhere?
Are all stock blue cushions super stiff for all of you? Even after 20 years my are stiff enough to effect the comfort of the cushions for sleeping. Even a trip through the dryer made little difference.
And finally, has anyone else noticed that the port settee is about 1.5" deeper than starboard? I learned this one the hard way when I cut my foam undersized based on the right (forward on port I now have a cooler cutout).
Will post my mods in a few days, including special cushion "hinge", my take on the hideaway table, rudder kickup spring, etc. May only be the cushion hinges that I haven't seen before.
