There seems to be options, variations and modifications on the V-21 standing rigging. Also there are improvements year to year even mid year.
Anyway my 1968 #444 has:
A forestay from the masthead to the bow plate.
A forestay from mid mast (about) to a deck eye behind the bow cleat and about 2 feet behind the other forestay. Both forestays are parallel.
A backstay from the masthead to the transom.
Two shrouds (sidestays) each side. One each from the masthead; one each from the midmast.
My boat never had spreaders.
============================
The side stays - high and low - are attached to the mast with 3/8 Dia thru-bolts. Both forestays are attached to a cable loop which depends from those thru-bolts ie one loop at masthead and one at the midmast position. Not sure I'm describing that quite right - the loops run in front of the mast from side to side and are maybe 8" long.
The jib halyard depends from the same loop as the inner forestay.
The Genoa halyard must have depended from the mast head loop but my outfit didn't have that when I bot the boat.
=====================================
That should at least get you headed in the right direction.

When I first rigged mine up I pushed the mast up and axt my wife to attach the forestay. I stood there puffing and panting and sweating and when she asked me, "Which one?" I about fainted dead away. My plans at that point did not include a process for lowering the damn thing.
