Going back a few years, I saw a transducer mounted on the bottom of the aft hull, in a rounded shape, the owner had made. The only entrance through the hull was for the cable. This was on a 87D mostly used for racing. The added hull shape didn't seem to slow the boat, it being a consistant winner. Newell
