(Sam - at the store) I only ask because with my 9.9 there is no point in running the engine past 5/8-2/3 throttle (just makes a bigger wave, don't go any faster) so I always figured that with the 9.9 I was just carrying a little more weight than I had to (the 8 was not available in 97). I'm really interested in your experience with the 8. TIA, F
