Swing board inspection

Report: outside forum guidelines

As I was crawling around, under the trailer, touching up some rust spots (good old saltwater) I noticed these small cracks in the swing board's gelcoat. Not unlike the crack that Martin found on his rudder, on the main board.

My first thought was to file it down a bit and see if there is any crack in the fiberglass. My second thought is keep an eye on it, in case the crack becomes larger. The cracks are very small. You can't really feel them.

Anyone have their board break off at his area? There are two small cracks, each about one inch or so on either side of the center of the pivot hole.
