In Response To: Swing board inspection (pic) (Mike B "Mikabee" Mac26s Victoria, Tx)

When I drop my centerboard, sometimes it will swing forward enough to "clunk". The bottom "crack" could be where the centerboard hits the forward part of the slot when it rotates forward too far??? The one on the top in the picture??? Fishing line? Have you sailed by a fishing boat recently and had the guys fishing think they cought something really big?
