I made one out of sched 40 PVC, which was real easy, and very inexpensive. Worked decent, kept stuff up out of any potential water. I really didn't like putting heavy stuff such as my anchor in there sitting directly on the hull.
This method allowed me to put 5gal buckets in there with the anchor and rode in it, milk crates, etc. But I knew for me, this was only a temporary solution. But maybe this would be okay for you as a permanent solution.
Sorry I don't have the measurements. I still had to get in there. But it wasn't too hard to use one of those red PVC cutting tools, trimming to fit.
For starters just make the outer frame, edge pieces. I made mine in two sections so it can be easily inserted and removed. Finish outside the boat. The cross pieces are made with tee fittings oversized so they can slide. I used no glue, just pressed everything together, held together fine.
Beauty is that if you ever don't need it any more you can take it all apart and use it for your lawn sprinkler system, or take back to the store for a refund.
Next I made a wood one, which I'm still using the mockup version. I intend to rebuild it out of quality wood, finished in some manner. I may make a few slight improvements to it, but basically, I'm happy with the design.
I still want a floor system that is not permanently fastened down. I want it to be easily inserted and removed. So here it is. The center panel can be easily removed for access below to the bilge pump or transducer.
Currently I'm working on moving my two batteries to under the vee berth, along with a water tank. I'm doing it in the same fashion, not permanetly attached, can be removed if needed.
