Walt I have a 4 hp 2 stroke outboard I bought in 1970 that still runs quite well, weighs only 32 lbs. I now use it on my inflatable. I have used it to provide emergency power by leaving it on the back on the inflatable dinghy and tying the dingy along side the Mac, then just open the throttle. Once underway you can just steer with Mac tiller, when more precise maneuvering is required I just use the inflatable like a ram to push the Mac around front back or sides. I've seen this also done on bigger sailboats that had lost power using several dinghy's to maneuver them around, seems to be a well know practice. It was one of the reasons I wanted an inflatable instead of a hard dinghy, the other was stability stepping in and out with a small dog over my head ! Bob
