....pull the sail up anymore with the halyard, and I tried.

At this point we are just learning and really want to try and get things ready in the next 30 days to go to Idaho when we get back from a wedding the end of June. We are running out of time and money and I'd like to not have to send the sail out or buy another one at this point. We would like to install the bimini that we just got. So if the boom is down and in the bimini under normal sailing conditions is it ok to pull it up with the topping lift until we can work on the sail?

Remember at this point we don't know fast from slow and just want to cruise down the lake and see things and learn more about sailing.

Thanks for all the topping lift suggestions and I'd like to hear more if there are more. I'll throw them in a hat and pull one out, that way no one will have their feelings hurt if I don't use theirs

c ya,

Sum
