I have a sym spinnaker on my V25. It takes a minimum of 2 crew that KNOW what they are doing and you are busy if there is any wind to speak of(3 is mo better). Even after installing a spinnaker sock(chutescoop) I still haven't found the nerve to try it single handed(you must go forward to raise the sock). You have an uphaul(topping lift) and down haul(foreguy?)that control the spinnaker pole. The afterguy and sheet control the chute. Needless to say, to keep the chute flying, you are constantly adjusting all of these plus steering the boat.....you get the idea. When it is working, there is nothing else like it in sailing. The chutescoop helps tremendously from dumping the sail in the drink when you are dousing it.
sorry I don't have any pictures on the water(not taken from another boat)....but here is one in the driveway.
I would like to get a gennaker down the road. Much easier to fly singlehanded.
