what qualifies a Monty as beachable?

I was looking over the Monty web site yesterday. They are a fantastic boat. But I am confused about something. I can see what makes a Potter beachable. They are flat-bottom and have no keel. But the site claims that Montys are beachable, if I read it correctly. They Montys have a keel and a V bottom. It would seem to me that they would fall over if put on a beach. I can see where the V would allow the Monty to sink into the mud. I imagine this would be an advantage even over the Potter. But back to my question: is the boat beachable? Thanks for the responses.
