Latch for wet lockers on Montgomery?

Hello everyone! Here is a question that photos can really help with. I'm looking for a good latch solution for the lids on the storage compartments in the cockpit. I've seen a few generic latches in the marine stores but they look like they might protrude too much and cause injury. Anyone have a good solution? Many thanks, Jason Smith Hood River, OR M15 #411
