In Response To: Latch for wet lockers on Montgomery? (Jason Smith)

SCRED's lockers were cut out sometime in her history. if i were to expereience a knockdown, or were pooped, and a locker came open water would enter the cabin directly!

as a solution i use cheap carabiners to hold the cockpit lockers closed when necessary (ie, in a blow). these are non-load bearing type, cost is ~$5 (or less) each.

i use brass padalocks to 'lock' the lockers when i'm away from the boat.

if description is unclear photos can be posted.
